Neurological physiotherapy is ideal for individuals who have had a stroke or who have been diagnosed with a neurological condition that results in weakness or balance issues amongst some of the presenting symptoms.

Gertrud, Pippa and Issie are able to assess and treat individuals with a variety of neurological conditions including:

• Stroke
• Parkinson’s Disease
• Acquired Brain Injury
• Functional Neurological Disorder
• Long term neurodegenerative conditions – including Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis
• Vestibular rehabilitation
• Spinal injuries

A comprehensive and holistic assessment will be carried out which will lead to the delivery of personalised treatment plans tailored to each individual.

Treatment will aim to improve function, balance, mobility and independence, achieve goals, and improve quality of life.

  • Strength, conditioning and mobility exercises
  • Task specific practice
  • Gait (walking) re-education
  • Balance training and falls prevention

  • Advising appropriate walking aids, orthotics and splints
