Phits 3D Printed Orthotics (Insoles)

Phits is the world’s first high-tech 3D printed insole, specifically designed based on your dynamic gait analysis using Footscan®. Optimal efficiency, superior stability and extreme durability.  Visit the Phits 3D Website for additional information.

The Phits design portal is integrated within the Footscan® v9 Software. Prescribing bespoke insoles has never been more simple with precise, scientifically calculated parameters to help ensure the perfect Phit!

Whether you are an elite athlete, recreational walker or factory worker on your feet, Phits will help your feet to adopt the correct foot motion, improve your movement efficiency and minimise your risk of injury.

The addition of the footscan technology allows our clinicians to specifically identify the reasons for your symptoms by identifying where imbalances, movement dysfunction or asymmetries in load may be present, in both upper and lower limb activities.

It is these factors that often contribute to the presentation of pain and injury through repetition and overload activities and the system can be used for foot, ankle, knee, hip and back pain presentations.

Footscan is used in three key ways within our clinic:

Firstly, it can be utilised for very specific gait analysis, measuring pressures through the foot during walking and running.

Secondly, we are able to prescribe bespoke Phits 3D printed orthotics for a variety of sports, as well as for daily use footwear.

Thirdly, it can be used during physiotherapy treatment sessions that focus on balance rehabilitation for both upper and lower limb conditions, as it provides excellent visual feedback to both clinician and patient.

Phits can be used for a wide range of sports and activities, with specific designs available for:

  • Walking
  • Running
  • Cycling
  • Skiing
  • They are also excellent in Universal Safety boots  for those requiring PPE footwear when working in construction or factory-based work.

The Assessment Process…

INITIAL CONSULTATION

Our expert clinicians will take a detailed medical and injury history, followed by a clinical examination to determine your strength and joint flexibility.

FOOTSCAN ANALYSIS

You will then complete a footscan® assessment to analyse your standing posture, balance and gait to identify any asymmetries or abnormalities.

PHITS INSOLE DESIGN

The clinician will talk through your footscan® analysis and suggest the most suitable treatment pathway. This might include the design of Phits orthotics.

3D PRINT MANUFACTURING

If prescribed, your Phits orthotics will be 3D printed to meet your exact specifications by using the dynamic data from your footscan® assessment.

ENJOY YOUR NEXT STEPS

After a quality check, you will return to the clinic in a couple of weeks to fit your new orthotics, providing your body with the perfect balance with every step.

Phits Insoles: 3D Printed Orthotics using Footscan

LGB Medical (Langers) Orthotics

For some people we recommend a specialist orthotic prescription using a more traditional assessment/fitting technique.

Orthotics are specially designed insoles that go into your shoe to correct your foot posture.  Your physiotherapist will measure and prescribe the correct orthotic for you.

You will have a review session to ensure a correct fit once they have been delivered.
