Long term consequences of poor sleep:

 

  • Atherosclerosis in major arteries
  • Reduced bone mass
  • Cerebral function deterioration (brain fog)
  • Skin and hair changes – possible thinner
  • Vaginal changes (dryness)
  • Bladder and bowel changes/irritable bowel
  • Cardiovascular disease – after menopause incidence of heart attack raises in women to similar levels with men, but a reanalysis of a study found women beginning HRT near menopause had a significantly reduced risk of Coronary heart disease (CHD)
