Anna Clayton Clinical Lead Physiotherapist (Bury St Edmunds)

Anna is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with an MSc Advanced Physiotherapy. She teaches a variety of Pilates classes at the clinic with training through APPI including Modified Pilates for low back pain, Pink Pilates (for anyone receiving or who has completed cancer treatment) and (coming soon) ante/post natal Pilates. She is qualified to provide acupuncture for musculoskeletal disorders. Anna leads the Macmillan Move More West Suffolk Service which encourages cancer patients back to activity and exercise.

Outside of work Anna enjoys running having completed 4 marathons and numerous half marathons, swimming, pilates and cycling/mountain biking.

Richard Morford Head of Practice/Clinical Lead (Colney/Gorleston)

Richard is a neuro-musculoskeletal physiotherapist specialising in shoulders, occupational health and functional rehabilitation. Richard works closely with a number of shoulder surgeons in the region working with complex clients and he also works with companies regionally and nationally providing in-house and clinic based occupational health physiotherapy. Richard is head of practice at Colney Physio and Gorleston Physio and balances a busy clinical caseload spending time with his young family and playing hockey and running.

Mark Alderton

Mark specialises in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, with a special interest in manual therapy and is a qualified acupuncturist. Away from work he has a passion for football and enjoys time with his family.

Andrew Bannan

Andrew is a Clinical Specialist Bury Physio and also works at University of Essex on the MSc and BSc Physio Programmes (Developing Sports Therapy BSc for roll out 2014). He is also the Lead Physio at Bury Rugby Club, Head of Medical Services alongside Ipswich Town FC – Academy Physio and Northampton Saints RUFC – Elite Player Development Programme Physio. Andy has a chapter in Tidy’s Physio on Acupuncture along with one previous article on pre-patellar bursitis (years ago!)

Sports and occupational injuries, their prevention and rehabilitation are his bread and butter. Outside of work Andrew is a keen triathlete

Jane Bos

Jane treats a variety of conditions, including dizziness and imbalance associated with inner ear problems or breathing disorders.
She also has many years experience treating shoulder conditions, post surgery joint rehabilitation, mobility problems and osteoporosis.

Jane is a keen dog walker!

Cara Duerr

Cara teaches 3 of the 9 Pilates classes at the clinic. She is passionate about Pilates and both enjoys attending classes herself and teaching them! She regularly attends courses to keep herself up-to-date with the Pilates world and has recently attended a pre and post natal Pilates course. She is availabe for 1:1 Pilates appointments if required.

Carol Ellis

Carol enjoys treating a variety of orthopaedic conditions from sports injuries to joint and mobility problems. She likes to establish the cause of a problem and treats using biomechanics, exercise and manual therapy. She also has specialist training in the treatment of headaches and migraine; expertise in rehabilitation following long term illness such as cancer and is qualified to practice acupuncture. She enjoys gym classes, her book group and dog walking.

Petra Enrico

Petra is an MSc Graduate and also works as a clinical physiotherapist specialist in Cambridge. She has an interest in spinal, sports and orthopaedic conditions and uses manual therapy, movement analysis and exercise rehabilitation. She also enjoys rollerskating, ballet and badminton.

Kimberley Harrison

Kimberley is a Musculoskeletal physiotherapist who enjoys treating a variety of conditions. With a special interest in sporting injuries and the adolescent sportsperson. She is a keen sportswoman herself who enjoys many sports particularly swimming and snow sports.

Neil Herbert

Neil qualified as a physiotherapist in 2006. His main interests are general musculoskeletal physiotherapy, occupational health and ergonomics. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons, playing football, running around the Suffolk countryside, playing golf and watching the darts.

Hayley Jarvill


Hayley is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist trained in injection therapy and diagnostics. Hayley has a Masters in Rehabilitation and a Masters in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Hayley enjoys treating complex cases and sports injuries. Hayley is also trained in Pilates under the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates institute (APPi).

Hayley enjoys keeping fit by swimming, cycling and practices Pilates in her spare time.

Malena Geddes


Maleena works locally at the BMI hospital as a physiotherapist and has recently completed her APPI Matwork level 1 and 2 courses.  She will be running the new beginners class on a Wednesday evening.

Tanya Legrand

Tanya is a member of the manipulative association of physiotherapists and is qualified to practice acupuncture. She is also bringing smiles back to people’s faces who have suffered facial palsy.

Gertrud Swanevelder

Gertrud loves a variety of patients: Sports, MS, Parkinson etc… She runs a gym ball stability class, can prescribe orthotics, uses acupuncture and hands-on-techniques. Home visits are no problem. She captained an equitation horse riding team for GB 2010 and teaches aerobics.

Edward Stephens 

MSc BSc (hons) MCSP HCPC

Ed is an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and a CASE accredited diagnostic Ultrasonographer.  Ed is also able to offer guided MSK injections and is a recognised independent prescriber with the HCPC.  Post-graduate training includes exercise prescription, pilates, manual therapies and manipulation, acupuncture, shock wave treatment, biomechanics and orthotic prescription.

Sports and Holistic Massage Therapist and Reflexologist, with over 10 years experience. Jackie has a HND in Sports, Health and Exercise.

Member of Registered Exercise Professionals (R0075101). Kevin has over 27 years of Personal Training experience, maintaining a high level of personal fitness throughout his adult life. He regularly completes ultra distance races and runs local Nordic walking sessions.

Nicola Hunter 
Head of Practice

Nicola Hunter is a Chartered Physiotherapist, partner and head of practice. She has a special interest in physiotherapy for health and work. She received the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy ‘Physiotherapist Award of the year in 2009’ for her work in occupational health. Nicky enjoys cycling and tennis to maintain her fitness.

Colney and Gorleston Physiotherapists

Anna Boden

Anna is an Australian-trained Sports Physiotherapist who has recently joined the Colney Physio team at Rowan House, Hethersett.

She has a strong background in sport, having completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement, and working as a personal trainer. She is currently completing her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy.

She has undertaken post graduate courses in Pilates, Acupuncture, Lower limb biomechanics and Bike fitting. She has a clinical interest in running injuries, bike set-ups, as well as lower limb, neck and back conditions.

She has gained valuable experience with UK Athletics, professional cycling team Orica Greenedge AIS, Norwich City Football Academy, Diss and North Walsham Rugby teams, and various other sports including grid iron, and Australian Rules Football.

This year she was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to provide physiotherapy cover for Cycling Australia. She worked closely with the Orica AIS team in Italy at the AIS European base and travelled with them for race coverage.

Anna provides Physio-led bike fitting, which combines biomechanical evaluation and musculoskeletal screening with her Bike Fit training through SICI and Retül.

Laura McGeary

Graduating from Keele University in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, Laura began her career journey as a Musculoskeletal (MSK) specialist in private practice. Laura worked in Occupational Health, for contracts such as South Yorkshire Police, Royal Mail, British Telecoms and Anglian Water. After a year and a half she moved to Norfolk where she began training in Pilates with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute) in 2011. This has allowed Laura to teach regular classes ranging from beginner to advanced, with both matwork and small equipment.

Laura went on to complete my Acupuncture Foundation qualification in 2012, specialising in headaches, and neck and back pain.

Laura treats patients of all ages, and my areas of physiotherapy practice include; MSK, Paediatrics and Neurological conditions and also enjoys working with sports specific injuries and rehabilitation.
